By downloading Port of Portland photos, you are agreeing not to use it for outside commercial use.
On January 30, 2019, the “Airport Exit” U-Turn will permanently close. This is the loop used to turn around before reaching the terminal. You can use Frontage Road (Route 1 below) or the road that passes below the air traffic control tower (Route 2) to turn around. This will not impact the “Return to Terminal” U-Turn which moved to 82nd Avenue and Airport Way last fall (and is not shown on map below).
Look for new signs on Frontage Road to help you get to major roads and highways via the Mt. Hood overpass.
Why is this happening?
PDX is bringing all rental car operations on-site in fall 2021 (no more shuttles!) and adding 2,400 additional long-term parking spaces. To make that happen, we need to build on the land where the “Airport Exit” U-Turn currently lives.
Thank you for your understanding
