Airline adds non-stop service from Portland to Calgary, Canada

CALGARY, Alberta. January 28, 2019. WestJet, Canada’s favourite airline based on reviews from the traveling public, announced today that it is adding its first non-stop flight to Portland from its home base in Calgary, Alberta.

The daily non-stop service to Portland begins April 29 through October 26 and provides Portlanders with non-stop access to Calgary, one of Canada’s most liveable cities due to its proximity to the Rocky Mountains, extensive park pathways, young population, nightlife and restaurants along with the economic opportunities afforded by its concentration of head offices and small business.

Airline adds non-stop service from Portland to Calgary, Canada

CALGARY, Alberta. January 28, 2019. WestJet, Canada’s favourite airline based on reviews from the traveling public, announced today that it is adding its first non-stop flight to Portland from its home base in Calgary, Alberta.

The daily non-stop service to Portland begins April 29 through October 26 and provides Portlanders with non-stop access to Calgary, one of Canada’s most liveable cities due to its proximity to the Rocky Mountains, extensive park pathways, young population, nightlife and restaurants along with the economic opportunities afforded by its concentration of head offices and small business.

“WestJet welcomes the wonderfully weird city of Portland to our network and looks forward to connecting friends, family and economies of these two dynamic cities,” said Arved von zur Muehlen, WestJet Chief Commercial Officer. “Travelers will love the daily non-stop access to Calgary where opportunities abound for thrilling outdoor activities and long summer nights along the Bow and Elbow Rivers. We are certain this new flight will allow for fantastic travel between Calgary and Portland whether for business or pleasure.”

WestJet’s non-stop flight to Calgary also allows for convenient access to its western Canadian network. This summer, WestJet will operate 145 daily flights from Calgary to 54 destinations including Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Atlanta, Nashville, New York, London, Paris and Dublin.

WestJet will operate over 750 daily flights in peak summer to 92 destinations including 42 in Canada, 23 in the United States, 27 in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, and five in Europe.
